What Do I Wear? |
For you first few lessons some loose fitting tracksuit bottoms and tee-shirt will be ok, so longs as they allow you free movement. After a month I would recommend getting a suit (called Gi). If you see your instructor they will usually be able to source one for you. | ||||||||||

I don't like the idea of being
thrown!
|
Ever since being a child we have
learned how not to fall, during you first few lessons we will teach
you how to start falling properly in order that you minimise the
impact of any fall or throw, also bear in mind that we train on mats
that are padded too.

Why Ju-Jitsu? |
Ju-Jitsu is a genuine martial art, you will learn old and new techniques, most of the techniques we deploy are suitable for real life defences. It is always better to get away for an attacker and Ju-Jitsu will help to make this more likely should a situation arise. However this is not always possible and sometimes you may have to defend your self, Ju-jitsu will give you more confidence, experience and skill for just that situation. |
